Callum Escritt was a great second in the same Northerns. With James Tulley also learning all the time and the McKenzies and others showing promise, increasing turnouts at the club and great racing, Yorkshire Dales SC are really coming on in the Topper world. Welcome to the home page of the Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club. Located high in the magnificent scenery of the Dales National Park, Grimwith Reservoir is the largest inland sailing venue in Yorkshire (371 acres). We believe it's the best place to enjoy Sailing or Windsurfing in the area, and some say the North. Since the opening of our state of the art clubhouse in Autumn 2009 we also have arguably the best facilities in the North. Come and have a look - you'll want to be a part of it! Club History
The origins of the club go back to the 1960s when a group of keen dinghy sailors from the Leeds and surrounding areas negotiated with the Leeds Corporation Water Authority to form a Club on Thruscross reservoir near Blubberhouses.
