Please note that a new direct debit order system is now in operation (September 09) for collecting Family and Adult category subscriptions on a quarterly basis. On ratification of your application you will be sent the appropriate form to complete which will take into account the time of year that you join the Club.
The category FAMILY includes husband, wife and children to the age of 18, or over if in full time education.
The category ADULT SAILOR represents a single person with boat or board or Crew member
The category DUAL CLUB represents fully paid up members of another RYA associated club. Proof of current membership and duties is required. Available for first 12 months only, thereafter a full membership category will apply.
The category JUNIOR/STUDENT represents those under 18 and those over 18 but in full-time education.
The category NON-SAILING represents a single person who wishes to support the objectives of the Club and who shall be eligible to become a full member upon payment of the appropriate balance.
All the above categories of member will be expected to give a small part of their time to help with the running of the club. For most this simply means doing 'duties' at the club. These duties are most often officer of the day or his/her assistant, patrol boat duty, or any other duties that may arise. It is likely that no more than two duties a year will be needed from any member. Without this help from members, the charity / club could not operate and we thank all members for their continued support.
There is a special “No Duty” category available at a premium of £85 for Family members or £65 for Adult Sailors. If you wish to take advantage of this offer please add the appropriate premium to the above annual fee and note the fact on the back of your application form. The money paid in this way is largely used to fund the semi-permanent patrol boat drivers.
To avoid cluttering of the dinghy park, a Boat Storage fee of £180 per annum per boat will be levied on lapsed members who do not remove their boat(s) from the compound.
