Grimwith Fun Slalom Series

June 20th - once again the forecast predicts the wind dropping off and we don't want to drag Juice Boardsports and lots of visitor along just to sit on the shore. So we have decided to cancel. Next event is the Demo Day on 15th August, which will definately go ahead irrespective of the weather! Start thinking about all that new kit that you really need!!

During the summer months we are organizing a fun slalom series.  There will be a big emphasis on fun and making racing accessible to all abilities. Juice Boardsports are supporting us with the organisation and their demo kit will be there at most of the events.  We will also have GPS unit there for a spot of speed sailing too.  This is a great opportunity to get involved create a fun event that will improve your gybing, speed and general sailing.

How it will work?

  • Plan events for 2 Sundays a month
  • First windy Sunday in that month we will call the event on the day before via our discussion forum, Juice Boardsports website or by phoning their shop.
  • No wind no event
  • Dates planned are -
  • May 16th 23rd
  • June 13th 20th

We will keep it really simple and give you tips to help you with your technique.

In a strong westerly, there's a superb 1 mile stretch of water upwind which allows some significant waves to build up for easy jumping. Loops and rolls have been a regular feature from some of our experts!
