Location
Located on the picturesque Eastern side of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club offers exhilarating sailing amidst the most spectacular scenery in the region.

We sail on Grimwith Reservoir which offers around 400 acres of water at an altitude of 300m. The reservoir is owned by Yorkshire Water and is situated on the B6265, 8 miles West of Pateley Bridge, 4 miles East of Grassington. Access to the Reservoir is good, with a tarmac Water Authority road leading you from the B6265 to the reservoir. Please note that the maps show 'Grimwith Road', which is a rough gated track with no access to the club. Please use the tarmac road close to Dibbles Bridge at the foot of the hill - this entrance has an obvious Yorkshire Water sign and a cattle grid. If you are using a GPS that needs a postcode, using BD23 5ED should do the trick. As the access lane climbs the hill adjacent to the dam, take a left turn just after the water comes into view and the lane is curving to the right - this is an unmade gravel track down to the club. If you hit the public car park you have gone too far. Here is a link to our location on Google Maps
