This web site is hosted by Netshine, Russell Walker is extremely helpful and supportive.
Software Components
The main components used include:
The Content Management System is Joomla 1.7
The layout template is the free version of a4Joomla's sailboat template (the name is a happy coincidence)
The User Management component is Community Builder 1.7
The Discussion forum component is Kunena 1.7
The Calendar component is jEvents 1.7
The Forms component (used for e.g. event pre-registration) is ChronoForms 1.6

Construction
The web site has been re-built from scratch. A clean installation of Joomla, followed by the components and then the content, much of which was copy / pasted from the old site and re-formatted. User accounts were transferred from the old site by exporting from the old database, cleaning up and importing to the new database. All the front-page photographs were re-edited and cropped to fit the new front page.
